I got these for ~280$ at Amazon during a Mother's day deal. Which was a good deal considering the SI1-SI2 clarity. I say that because for the last few months (2009), you can buy 1/2 carat studs with I1-I3 clarity for 250$ at Kays Jewelers (and you can pick and choose from several pieces).

But when I got the Amazon studs, I was very pleasantly surprised with their clarity and sparkle. I was not particular about the size being small, because I needed something smaller for every-day wear(the amazon 'on the ear' image is pretty accurate). When I went and compared them with the I1-I3 pieces I saw at the Jewelers, there was a VERY significant difference in the clarity and sparkle but not a lot in size. Even the rep there was surprised I got them for under 300$

So if you are more concerned about the size of the diamond, you might want to check out the local jewelers first and rummage through the 8-10 pairs they usually carry - and pick the one which is clearest i.e. less yellow to the eye.

Otherwise 1/3 carat SI1-SI2 under 300$ was a very good deal for me. Too bad their prices have climbed since then.

PS: As some of you might know, Coscto also has great deals on diamonds, but they seldom carry smaller pieces like these studs.

I just love this necklace, especially the sentiment, even though you can't read it easily since it twists around the necklace. The quality is nice and the chain is nice too. The chain got a little kinked in the bag, but stored properly, I don't think that would occur. It wasn't a permanent kink either. It did straighten out just fine. Nice size pendent. A perfect gift for a good friend.

Purchased as a gift. The chain is a bit wimpy, but strong enough to support the pendant for occasional wear. If one is going to wear this often, or not remove it at all, I'd recommend a stronger chain.

The pendant is beautifully done. The heart is at least an inch wide, perhaps a bit more in height. (Sorry, already wrapped it for gift so I can't measure it now). The heart is hefty, excellent quality and is highly polished; the inscription is deep and dark enough to be easily read. One must turn the cross over to read the entire sentiment, but the words are clear, not squished together.

Just a beautiful pendant with a heart warming sentiment. Would like to see more of this pendant with a variety of sentiments available.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas 2009. I never thought of buying jewelry online before, but I didn't have the time nor desire to fight the mall traffic and I think of most jewelers has sheisters anyway, so I felt comfortable after reading the reviews on Amazon.

The heart is unique in that the chain flows through it. Both the heart and chain feel sturdy; I was expecting a thin/cheap chain to accompany the heart, so I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I think could be improved is the packaging. The item basically came in a plastic bag inside a very small, flimsy box. I had to rummage through some old jewelry boxes that my wife had in a drawer in order to really make it presentable as a gift.

All in all, I think it's a great item and it was well-received.

I'm always looking for different jewelry ideas for my other half for gifts, and when I seen the Amazon combo, this paired with the heart earings, I knew I had a good one here. It was a hit with her for a Christmas gift.

The heart and chain appear to be fairly solid, especially the chain seemed more solid than your average chain that comes with pendants. The open heart sliding on the chain is a neat idea and not something that is often seen. The price seemed a little high for this item, that is why I give it 4 stars out of 5. I have seen similar for less money, but maybe you get what you pay for. All in all very good quality and an excellent gift.

This necklace has become a signature necklace for my sisters and I. It all started when I ordered it for one of my sisters for Christmas of 2008. She is hard to shop for but I came across this necklace here on Amazon and something told me that she would like it. "Like it" is an understatement-she LOVES it. Actually, it was the only time I've ever seen her cry when she opened a gift. She told me later that it meant so much to her because she could tell I put a lot of thought into the gift, which was true. Anyhow, the gift was a hit and she wears it all the time and tells me that everytime she wears it someone compliments her on it.

So this year I ordered it for my OTHER sister for Christmas (2009) after listening to her drop hints all year about how she wants "that heart necklace that you got Erica", and not surprisingly, I got the same reaction. Little did I know, Erica had ordered one for ME this year as well!!

So now all three of us have it and I think the next step is to get one for our mother, too. I think I will do that now, actually. :o

Bottom line: this necklace is beautiful. I am not at all interested in cheesy, cheap jewelry, and this necklace is neither of of things. It is pretty, not too big, not too small, goes with MANY outfits both dressy and casual. Two things that I've noticed: the chain is super sparkly and pretty, and the red marcasite color DOES vary because our necklaces are all different shades of red (all very pretty though). I am not lying when I say people compliment it all the time. I enjoy this because I get to tell people what the necklace means to me (sisterhood!) and the story behind it.

If you are a guy looking at this for your lady, it is a great choice.

I was reluctant to buy this based on the reviews but finally did order it. This is a gorgeous necklace!!! A definite stand out. It has a WOW factor upon first seeing it. My necklace is a reddish color not brown and it fits perfectly into it's casing. This is one of the prettiest pieces I have ordered from Amazon and I have ordered a lot. It was perfectly packaged in the typical Amazon collection packaging which is the blue box and blue bag. I wouldn't hesitate to give this as a gift. This order was for myself and I will be buying additional colors in this same style.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I was searching for a gift for that special someone who absolutely loves marcasite jewelry. This elegant glass, marcasite, and sterling silver creation could have been perfect. I knew when I purchased this piece that I wasn't going to receive the red colored version displayed on this website.

When removing the pendant from the pouch, I could not help but noticing the 18" Singapore chain glistening in the light. One can only imagine my disappointment when I caught a glimpse of the brown not garnet, flat glass heart mounted in the silver and marcasite casing. Indeed photographs can be deceiving. The intricate filigree on the back of the pendant could not be seen through the dark glass.

I also purchased the matching silver and marcasite tear drop earrings. Just as elegant as the pendant casing and chain. Unfortunately the glass was a very noticeable lighter shade of the brown colored heart. So much for matching up. Its a given that the pendant and earrings are on their way back to Amazon.

Overall, the chain and pendant casing are beautiful. The dark colored glass definitely lowered the overall rating of this piece. To be quite honest the glass is absolutely ugly. Obviously there are quality control issues. I do hope that others will not suffer the same misfortune.
